A wonderful little album by Nalini. Piano music with some very soothing cat noises. Have a listen to some of it at www.cdbaby.com/cd/nalini. I love it!
The quiz:
What did Cardinal Richelieu, Louis XV and Winston Churchill have in common?
Hint - it has to do with cats. Well, what else do you expect in a cat blog?

Dear Momo, My owner tells me that these statesmen did not like cats. Imagine! There are animals I'm not particularly find of, but I woudn't go around publicizing it. We all deserve some respect.
Charlie,
You shouldn't believe all the things that your owner tells you. I am always sceptical about what SS says. She thinks everyone is as gullible as she is. In this case, your lovely owner fibs, like SS often does to me.
All these guys loved cats and owned several in their life time. What they have in common was more subtle - they allowed their cats to sit in state councils with them. In the case of Louis XV, his cat regularly sauntered across the table of the Royal Council.
Very interesting indeed, Momo. I always thought that animals had had some influence in diplomatic affairs! Too bad about those firebombs and V2s though; I guess the humans must have misunderstood a request for dinner.
Dear Momo,
Have you seen this site? I have trouble typing, you know, being a dog.

Yes, thanks Charlie. That's where SS got some of the cat and kitten photos for her computer. As if my photos weren't cute enough! Personally speaking, I got bored looking at those felines on the flat screen fairly quickly but SS was still at it when I came back after my snack and nap.
Yes, humans are funny creatures. I don't think that my owner knows much about Richelieu that she didn't read in Dumas. It's all very well that people like cats, except that most of the time those who have a passion for cats usually detest dogs. Conversely, most people who love dogs are not necessarily cat-haters! It must be some strange human phenomenon that I will not pretend to understand.
SS loves dogs too. She used to have dogs and dog-sit her relatives' canine happily. She would like to have a dog and a long eared rabbit when she has a place of her own. However, I am not looking forward to having so many animals around the place to disturb my peace. I am quite happy to have the garden to myself. A puppy and/or a rabbit would really be too much for an old cat like me!
