Easy like Sunday

My SS has taken a 3 day weekend to stay home with me. OK, she takes home work to do but at least she is around. Our clocks were turned back one hour last night signifying the end of summer time for us. The days have been noticeably shorter and cooler and we are enjoying the last of our warm sun.

Next week is forecasted to be raining all week and if the weather bureau is to be believed we are in for a cold wet winter, which means I will be more likely to curl up on the Turkish rug in the family room than on the lawn.

Thankyou to all the kitties who have been coming around to enquire after me. I feel much better now and am eating well. I will have to return to the vet tomorrow for followup tests. The Zoolatry kitties and their mom have done this colourful rendition of me. Don't you think it's just gorgeous? Thankyou to those extremely talented and artistic kitties and their mom.

Despite my complaints, winter in Sydney is not that cold. Never much below 5C/40F during the day and never snow. Some days it can get up to 15C/60F in mid afternoon. So you can see that it is pretty mild compared to some parts of the US and Europe. In winter, I stay indoors at night but still pretty much running around outdoors on dry, fine days.

Sorry that Autumn and Winter are coming for you, we're still waiting on Spring here!

The picture by Zoolatry is adorable. Come visit us whenever you want warm weather.

This week has been WET and very humid. We are tired of all the rain. The poor goslings hatched Wednesday and it's done nothing but rain since they were born. They haven't seen the sun yet and they are 4 days old.

They had tornadoes in Meridian, were Mommy is from. Everybody she knows was OK.

Hi MoMo... winter for you, summer for us! Wanna trade? Our human doesn't like the hot weather at all (says she's always hot enough on her own whatever that means, says they are flashies of some kind and not from the camera). Oh well... we wish you well at your
v-e-t visit, be healthy sweet friend.

I hope you made out OK at the vet. You will have to e mail me and let me know what the doc had to say. I still cannot get into yahoo, I think it is a big nasty and if I could I would bite the yahoo in the yahoo, ha, ha, ha. Giving up and calling it a day. Doing an early post about the pre welcome home party. Will check things out tomorrow it the mom of the house can find some time for me. Miss all of you.

I miss my extra hour of sunshine already (I know it's still there, but it's at the wrong time of the day now. Kate won't hang out it the garden with me at 6am like she used to at 6pm). But I have been a bit more snuggly with Kate since the chilly mornings and evenings have returned, so that's nice for both of us. Hope your tests go well, MoMo!

Greetings Momo, from Southern California! I'm so sorry to hear you've been ill....but it sounds like you are doing better now. That is good....we cats don't handle being ill very well.

Thank you for stopping by to visit. I think you're "the cat's whiskers" too.
