Steaming Sunday

Kitties, you might be conned into believing that I live in Sydney but the truth is that I live in an oven. It has been so hot lately!!!!! 100F for days on end and just as you think you can breath again, the heat wave returns, as do the rain and floods elsewhere in Australia.

Due to my recent illness, I have not been going out to the garden much. Thanks +++++ to the power of purrs and tail wags around the globe, I am much better now and am also eating a little more. Drinking is another story - I just don't.

My kidney problem persists and the vet says SS has to be on the alert for my fluid status, especially on hot days when I am not drinking. So today is one of those days when it was already over 90F by 10am. Our little house has no a/c and it can be as hot inside as it is out by mid-afternoon.

Oh our purrs to you! Stay cool and drink plenty of fluids!

Maybe you should try it right from the faucet?

Grete has offered up her tail to wag over you to cool you off!

If that fails you can teleport over here where it's nice and cool.

Momo,

I know how you feel in the hot hot day " It like in the oven " I didn't have problem with drinking. Normally, I drink a lot after breakfast and dinner but in the hot day, my dad always cool me down by putt the damp cloth on top of my body. I think you should try. When your body cold down, you will feel like drinking.

I purrs for you to drink lot of water Momo.

I don't know how you and your humans can stand the heat with no air conditioning! Or how you can not feel like drinking when the temperature is so high! Like many other kitties, I am continuing to purr for you. Plus I am hoping you get some cooler weather soon!

Oh dear, that is simply extremely hot! We are sending purrs your way that the heat waves stop.

A vet tech taught our Mom how to give sub-Q fluids when Clyde was ill. She says it is not hard if you have a helper, and it reduces stress on the kitteh by avoiding a trip to the v-e-t.

Most of us like to drink running water, so we get a lot of use from our fountain.
