Line honours have been taken by Wild Oats in three consecutive years in the annual Sydney to Hobart yacht race which traditionally takes place between Christmas and New Year. It is the second yacht to have pulled the hat trick in the whole 65-year history of the race.
This year, Pablo who lives in Hobart suggested I should ride on one of the boats to go and visit him. What better than the fastest and the best. So, see who that kitty skipper is on board of the maxi yacht!

Oh Momo - you look great on that sailboat! Our Daddy loves to sail, he'd be jealous that he didn't get to join you (he sails in the Port Huron to Mackinaw race here on the Great Lakes).
Did your boat win?
Too bad Opus & Roscoe didn't have one of those boats to come visit us in. It would have been faster than the raft.
Momo
What a bootiful sight..with you helping they awe suwe to win!!
You lookgweat on the boat!
smoochie kisses
Asta
You didn't get sea sick? Good for you.
Well look at you!! Woo hoo! You go girl! Mom can't BELIEVE she missed the race for the first time EVER! Gran is here and Mom is cooking and taking her to places. And doing every single bit of housework for everyone cause they won't and don't.
Ok - this is Leslie now. My dad was IN two of the races on board Onya owned by Peter Rysdyck of Gosford, way, way back in time. My dad ROCKED!
Woohoo, wif yoo as da skipper dey hasta win!
Yep! He and the next door neighbour and the guy from over the back fence - all went down on the train, two years in a row, from Brisbane, to be in the race.
We had our own yacht after that - a 41 foot trimaran dad built in the backyard, and that came second in the Brisbane to Gladsotne race one year.
Oh, and Pye hasn't slept much since Chrismtas. She is STILL over excited and running around looking for elephants to chase.
Oh my gosh! Look at your cool header!
Hope mom gets time tomorrow to do mine and Tiggers. They are looking a bit "pass-ay". Er, mom can't do an acute over the e or she would have spelled that the french way. Duh!
We're off to the HAIRPORT in five minutes. The HAIRPORT we tell you!
Why does gran have to go there? I like her hair the way it is?
Yay! You made it! Congratulations for picking the fastest ship! Once you've finished celebrating at Constitution Dock, come up the hill to West Hobart and you can crash here with us.
Yep, the gran is... GORN!
We are back home, with a glass of ice tea, and about to get a glass of Asti Riccadonna - mom only drinks it for the pale gold colour and the persistent bead.
Well, that's what she said in her blog.
Kool Beanies, that looks like so much funsies! I love watur -- I play with it efurry chance I get, and I'm sure I'd love love love sailin!
Kittyhugs and purrs from your furriend MaoMao!
That's a great way to get to Hobart to visit Pablo. I hope you really enjoyed your trip.
Mom says Asti Riccadonna is... Christmas in a glass.

If that is true, why did she spend hours putting up the tree?
Oh, and this year she lasted until today to take it down. Last year - get this! She took it down at 1pm on the 25th of December!
My girl human gets really homesick when she reads your blog so she just went to ring her parents so see how they were (and they're good). FAZ
Come on over today and be at the pool with me. I am planning on staying for awhile there and all are invited. I will post about it when I am done being lazy at the pool, that might be a few days. It is really relaxing.
Momo, Love the new look of your blog. You're a great decorator.
We're on our way to join Sassy.
jan's funny farm
That is so amazing! My Gamma would really love that, she used to sail.
Kaze
Whoa, you are a real adventurer-cat, MoMo! I can't believe you actually got on a boat. Did you yak over the side? I bet I would.
Your buddy, Jimmy Joe
Momo, you are one brave cat. Do you think you should be wearing a life-vest, just in case? I want you to be safe.

WOW!!! These are beautiful photos... and the last one... oh my...Momo, you are so brave! I love water, but I don't think I would dare to join a yacht race. I would become seasick on such a fast boat.
hoho, you look great on that sailboat! They are sure to win with you cheering them on.
p/s: loves the "blogging momos" badge idea.
Isn't hangin at the beach fun! Just bein lazy that is what it is all about!
G'day! How's your Sunday morning going?
I am teaching myself some digital scrapbooking... NOT an easy task. I really like Photoshopping but this requires craft skills, which I don't have a lot of.
Hi! You are a great sailor. You chose a great boat. Just don't get wet! water + kitty furs = unhappy cat.
I'll see you in Florida! I'm going to telyport down for the sunbeams.
