To tell the truth, this is another post that is being hijacked by SS to introduce her kitty friends. However, since they are really cute kitties, I don't mind. The first is Lotsa, the kitty who is the resident kitty at the guest house where SS stayed in her recent trip to Cambodia. SS is gratified to see more cats and better nourished ones these days in Cambodia.
Lotsa is expecting babies and has to be careful not to wander next door because it is a crocodile farm.
The second is Charlotte whom SS is looking after at present because her humans are all overseas. Yes, I have to share SS these days. Charlotte is a mischievous cutie and like me, demands her breakfast at 5am!
The third is Porridge, who is SS's professor's family cat. SS is also looking after her during his absence. Porridge is a big kitty and very affectionate but likes to mess up the place a bit.
Do come and say 'mieow' to these non-blogging kitties.

Sydney to Hobart race
Line honours have been taken by Wild Oats in three consecutive years in the annual Sydney to Hobart yacht race which traditionally takes place between Christmas and New Year. It is the second yacht to have pulled the hat trick in the whole 65-year history of the race.
This year, Pablo who lives in Hobart suggested I should ride on one of the boats to go and visit him. What better than the fastest and the best. So, see who that kitty skipper is on board of the maxi yacht!

At the beach with Sassy
Sassy has kindly extended an invitation to join her at the beach to watch the birdies - how can I forgo such a fantastic outing! So I packed my hat and snacks and off I went! Watch out birdies!!!
Didn't manage to catch any - too bloated from the amount of ham and salmon that SS gave me yesterday. So I settled down to admire the sand castle that Sassy built while waiting for me and soak up some sun.
Now, where is that hat? A kitty has to look after her complexion and not let the UV rays damage it!
Ah, good! Got my hat! Need to take a snooze - birdwatching is an exhausting activity.
OK, OK! SS does not want me to be a slob and sleeps all the time. Get active, here goes!
See, I am climbing! You may have to biggify the picture because these are tall trees. Are you happy now, SS?

Gifts
While I don't get as many presents as other kitties, this is the first year I get any present at all. They are mostly from my friend Charlie who is currently hosting her Diamond Jubilee Birthday. So I thought I would post them and thank her for her kind thoughts.
The Cat Cracker, bow and tin of biscuits are from Charlie and the flowers are from Chubby, a German shepherd down the road. The centre pouch with the cute kitty prints contains the bracelet and earrings set that I won in the raffle organized by Opus and Roscoe earlier. The set was made by the lovely Miss Peach.
Aren't they absolutely gorgeous? This is the first year that I have been able to give SS and her sister a present each - SS has the bracelet and her sister who has the appropriate holes in her ears got the earrings which she promptly wore the next day.
The best present that I have, however, is the friendship and kindness extended by the kitties in the blogosphere for which I have to thank Karl for introducing me and the doggies and hammies who have become my friends through blogging. To all of these furriends and their pawrents I wish them a Happy Christmas and a rewarding New Year.

SS is back!
Welcome home SS! See, I am all decked out in baubles, shells and gold dust for the occasion, thanks to the beautiful kitties and their mom at Zoolatry.
During her absence I had a great time staying with Sassy, attending parties and the premiere. I also took the opportunity to visit the mob from Artsy Catsy while I was in the vicinity. Then before returning home I headed north to visit my sissy Momo dog and Pinot our new puppy brother in freezing Toronto.
Now SS and I are just going to curl up together and find ou what we have missed, especially those absolutely intriguing episodes from the CCSI. If you haven't already been there, do please click on the link to Sassy's and see what is going on. I am sure you would be entertained. Hint, hint - I am the pretty Tooth Fairy who is implicated in the kidnapping plot of Santa. There are a lot of very dapper mancats in the show. Make sure you check it out.
I must thank Momo-dog for giving me this award:
It's ‘World Best Friend Week’. So I would like to give it to my dear friend Charlie who introduced me to the world of blogging, to Sassy, who already has one but truly deserves another, to a new kitty friend, Tesla, to the dynamic duo, Opus and Roscoe and to those southern racy kitties, Tigger, Trixie and Pyewacket.
Please feel free to download it and give it to others.
A big thankyou to everyone who has invited me to visit while SS is away. I would like to give this to all my kitty friends and wish them a Merry Christmas. Enjoy the kitty hamper and I am sure all of you would have the occasion to use the refillable catnip bags.

Away I go!
Soon after my earlier post, Producer Sassy sent her private jet to pick me up from my home to stay with her for a few days so that SS can go to Cambodia without worrying about me. She even offers to let me use her blog during my stay. That's what you'd call looking after your workers. Sassy thinks of absolutely everything!
Other kitties and doggies have also generously extended their hospitality and I shall be visiting them after my stay with Sassy. After all, I am still working on the set of the CCSI and have to honour my commitment.
Have bags, will travel!
SS is going to abandon me next week to go to Cambodia for a week. There is no reason why I should mope about at home so I have decided to pack my bags and head off too. Would any kitty out there like to have a visitor? I have my own kitty sleepover bag and solemnly promise not to encroach on anyone's Gizzy quilt.

I got a mouse
No, SS, you know that's NOT what I mean! See what I have to put up with.
It has beeen raining for the last few days and I have been bored. During my early morning patrol around the garden I spotted a cute grey and white mousie, very much my colouring with soft white fur on its neck and underside but minus the dilute calico patches on its back. Had great fun with it but it eventually gave up the ghost and died. Pity!
I left it on a very prominent patch of grass in direct view of all and waited for the response, knowing that SS's sister would scream when she sees it and refuse to leave the house. Silly girl! Unfortunately, she worked late last night and slept in. SS is rather indifferent to mousie and doesn't have any explosive reaction. She usually just coos what a good kitty I am (yes, yes, I know I am) and rewards me with a nice bit of cheese and milk. Of course, I would assume my nonchalant demeanour as she coos away and picks up the dead mousie for disposal.

Catmas Tree
Looks like everyone is putting up Christmas decorations but SS has decided against putting up a tree because of my destructive tendency. Instead we are featuring a Catmas Tree:
This is a painting by the surrealist artist Michael Bridges, whose earlier cat paintings I have posted some time ago. There are lots more of his paintings at his gallery website, with a special section on cats. Do go and have a look, they are very interesting.

Reindeer
When I visited Sassy's blog and saw the cast of reindeer I rather fancied myself as one as well. So I took a quiz at

Thirsty Thursday
There is a tradition among the graduate students in SS's research centre of Thirsty Thursday when they socialise at the local pub in the late afternoon for an hour or so. Now I have taken on the idea but being a smart, health conscious kitty I restrict my beverage to milk. Never could see the point of contaminating such a yummy drink with that murky stuff that goes by the name of coffee enamoured by so many beans.
Umm, SS thinks I look like a wombat ........
Sheesh, I am not THAT heavy or clumsy!

Cat Fairies
Since I have been given the role of the Tooth Fairy in the new CCSI production, I have been so excited that I decide to look into the interpretation of cat fairy in general. Lo and behold, I come across an artist who specializes in fantasty cats. She is Carrie Hawks. I have posted a few of her fairy cats here, including the small one in my last post and there are more in her website. What's more, she has three beautiful kitties who act as her inspiration.
The one on the right is not by her and is obviously not a kitty fairy. It is from Photosearch on the interpretation of a Tooth Fairy.

I am a Tooth Fairy
I am soooo excited! I have just been informed that I am to be the Tooth Fairy in the upcoming CCSI show (See Sassy's blog). Whooopeee! I have always wanted to be a fairy with wings so that I can catch those birdies that keep eluding me.
Wonder if this is what the producer has in mind!

My Box of Life
I have been tagged by Pyewacket for this meme. It is simple but an important one as we muse over what we have in this life:
List your treasures and tag other kitties and their humans also, as many as you like. Let this reflection spread throughout the world. We need to count our contentments as Blessings!~~~What do you look back over and treasure enough to place inside your BOX OF LIFE?
Here are some things I treasure enough to place in my Box of Life:
1. SS and her mother who rescued me from the harsh life as a pregnant stray and accepted me into their home. Since then I have been spoilt rotten with loving care and treats!
2. SS's aunt who looks after me when SS is away on her frequent field trips. I appreciate her care and tolerance of me even though she professes that she doesn't like animals.
3. The fridge from which issues a stream of yummy edibles such as milk, cheese, ham and bacon
4. The garden couch on which I spent much of my time watching birds and sunning myself
5. The rocking chair under which I hide during thunderstorms and when things are bad
6. The Turkish rug with which I practise wrestling
7. Last, but not least, my caring friends - felines, canines and their humans - who have come into my life and enriched it.
*As some of my kitty friends have commented, this had better be a humongous box

Tribute to an old college cat
This post is hijacked by SS but approved by me to pay tribute to an old friend, Pogo, the college cat who kept her company during the time she was in Oxford, UK.
Pogo was the cat of the head of the college but was generally adopted by the students and staff of Somerville College. He could be seen wandering around the grounds on sunny days and occupying the most comfortable couch in the Middle Common Room on overcast, wet and cold days.
He went around with that look that said 'nobody remembers to feed me' especially during term holiday time when there were fewer staff members around. This was eventually foiled when it transpired that he was fed by the majority of the graduate students who stayed back to continue their research. In fact, if you cared to look there were tinned cat food and treats in the kitchen of every single floor of the Margaret Fry building where the graduate students lived.
He tolerated cuddles and scritchies on his own terms and came and went out of the common rooms, corridors and kitchens at will. He once stayed in SS's bedroom for the better part of two days when the kitchen staff of the college was all out looking for him. He seemed to prefer the company of older graduate students than the young undergraduates who might have teased him in the past.
So, here is to Pogo, hope you are keeping well and SS thinks of you often.

Miscellaneous Monday
Hope everyone enjoyed the show written by Opus and Roscoe and produced by Sassy
I have included the shot of the final scene in which I was re-united with my owner played by Daisy.
A round of applause for the writers, producer, director, the crew and the cast. Besides the hard work borne mainly by the producer and the writers, I think we all had a lot of fun in this production.
To commemorate the occasion of my attaining an aristocatic title, the lovely kitties and their mom at Zoolatry presented me with a portrait
and Sassy further sent me a very beautiful bed, and wait for it, a BTB award! Wow wee! Two of the same award in successive days!
What a spoilt kitty I am! So far removed from the days when I was a pregnant stray eventually adopted by SS's mother.

Award and show time!
A big thankyou to my Sissy- Momo, the NOMSS friend whom I introduced recently for sharing this award. In turn, I would like to give it to Opus and Roscoe, Tigger the FBI cat, Trixie and Pyewacket for "making the blog their own, staying with it, interacting with the readers, and just plain having fun."
I would also like to show my appreciation for the kitty gift basket from Sassy on the occasion of the premier of the CCSI production of "The kidnapped kitty caper". The cat in question being me Momo the Fluff ("Fluffy" in the show).
Please go over to Sassy and enjoy the unfolding of the drama!
Lastly, I would like to thank all the kitties for the condolences and the invitations to share their homes with me when SS leaves me for the distant shores and join Lara Croft in the Angkorian capital.
