Charlotte here. SS and I would like to wish all our friends and their families a very Merry Christmas and a Safe, Happy and Exciting New Year.

Camping out in style
Today being a sunny day, SS decided to air the spare bedspread. That was too good an opportunity to miss for a camping out in style. And I do like pink. So what do you think of my deluxe quilted tent?
Now if you would like to join me, my kitty furriends, we can make a picnic out of it. SS, how about serving us a kitty high tea of ham, cheese, cream and niptinis while we picnic under the shade and admire my lilac garden....

Good news
Charlotte here. My mom visited yesterday and had lunch with me and SS. She has been offered a job!!! Yay!! That means I may be going to my new home 'soon'. Well, actually not for quite a few weeks yet because my mom needs to rent a place where kitties are allowed. She can't afford to rent a house with garden, so I will miss having my own secluded yard and will have to get used to be an indoor-only kitty again. :sigh:
That being the case, I had better make the most of my time in the garden.
All kitties are invited to join me. Summer is pawsome in Sydney. Can't promise mousies, but there are plenty of lizards, butterflies, birdies etc. There are also 2 neighbouring woofies that I enjoy annoying.

Easy like Sunday
Nice sunny morning but the skies are rapidly turning grey and the winds are picking up. What's a kitty to do but take a snooze.......
Have a good weekend, everyone!

Window Wednesday
I love windows, so I think I will start to feature myself in Window Wednesday and just hope that lazy SS will comply with my wish .........
Have a good reminder of the week, efurryone! Thanks for visiting me.
Signing off,
Charlotte, the foster kitty.

Thursday in the Garden with Charlotte
Good, I get to post at last! I know I haven't any training and haven't been in the garden long, but just look at the spring garden that I have managed to produce......
Not bad, uh?
I sure think treats are mandatory for the effort. Until then, that's all from me, Charlotte the foster kitty.
By the way, this is our 500th post. Sorry that MoMo is not here to see it. We miss her presence everyday.

Charlotte
We haven't posted for some time because SS has been unwell. Charlotte's mom is still looking for permanent work and is not in a position to take her back for the time being. So it is just as well the little one is happy and contented to be here with us. She is allowed free roam of the garden now since she seems not to wander beyond its confines.
Like MoMo, she is a climber - trees, fences, roof, you name it!
At night, however, she stays in.....
Thanks for visiting!!!

Happy Halloween
It's that time of the year again. Thankyou for joining us here for the party. Everyone please choose your broom and hat......
and follow Charlotte to the appointed venue for our party....
Here we are.....
We are heading to the turret room, where the light is, but first we have to make our way there. Follow Charlotte, and ignore whatever is flying or wafting around...
Ooops, this doesn't look right, have we taken a wrong turn? Persevere, kitties!......
Oh no, don't follow him!!! We go the other way.....
This is more like it. Wave your wand and let the food and drinks appear...

Thursday in the Garden with Charlotte
We have something very pretty and unusual to report. There are quite a few pots of Night Blooming Cereus in our garden. Earlier this year my uncle brought some more over from his garden that he has crossbred. Voila we now have Night Blooming Cereus that does not wilt after a few hours at night but continues to bloom well into the day. He says it will stay in bloom for 1-2 days.

Visitors!!!!
Charlotte here. I am really excited. I am having my first visitors. All the way from USA and Budapest.
So early in the morning, I picked some flowers from the garden and eagerly awaited their arrival. Sydney airport is a busy one and not surprised that it took a while for them to clear immigration and customs. You would have thought they would be waved past, wouldn't you? I mean kitties travelling by themselves, with luggage in tow. Must be a rare sight in any airport.
Yay, here they are. Group pics in front of the terminal....
Please look up, there is Angel MoMo!!!
To follow our adventure, please go to Gracie's blog. The gang, and others who will be joining us, will be here for a riotous holiday.

Tocktober
Today was a lovely warm spring day and Charlotte was allowed to go out to the garden to enjoy the sun and smell the grass and plants. This is her contribution to Tocktober in honour of Derby's birthday this month.
With the warmer weather coming there will be more chance of venturing out. She is only allowed out under supervision. Being a very good kitty she came back into the house when bidden. The first outing was a success!

Update on Charlotte
Charlotte has been here for nearly 2 weeks now and seems to have settled in really well. When she first arrived, her favourite place was under the chair, any chair...
Then, it was on the chair...
The next move was the window....
Because she is an indoor kitty, the highest she could go in the house is the top of the fridge. For the time being she is not there yet.

Cousin Charlotte
Cousin Charlotte came last night. She will be staying with us for the next 3 months while her mom is working interstate. She was very scared at first and stayed under the dining table chair where her mom was sitting for most the evening. After her mom left, she kept to her 'suite' of rooms (the second bathroom, toilet and laundry) and whimpered sadly to her toy on her bed. She did not eat her dinner until late and kept very quiet all night. This morning she ventured out to explore the house and sat looking out of the French windows to the garden. SS later took her out on a leash for a little stroll on the porch. Amazing that she took to the leash straight away. She will be making appearances in my FB and blog during her stay with us. Please welcome the sweetie and purr that she will enjoy her stay with us.

Birthday
It has been a difficult time. Can't believe that MoMo has been gone for over 2 months. Today is her birthday, well, adopted birthday, since being a stray when she joined the family we don't really know. I have been crying on and off, missing her. Just as well it is a Sunday and I don't have to work.
As some of you may know, MoMo is buried under the poinsettia tree at the back of the garden, near the fountain that she loved to sleep in during summer afternoons. Since she died, my brother has transformed the dysfunctional fountain into a flowering one in MoMo's memory.
Sure, one day I will have to leave all these behind as this is not my house. However, MoMo will always be in my heart and be part of me and my life.
Many thanks to all the lovely furriends and moms who have been so supportive during the difficult and sad time. I really appreciate your kindness. I apologise for not thanking you individually because I get very sad when I go to kitty blogs and cry heaps. I am crying even now.

A Final Farewell
SS returned from Berlin this morning and was shocked to see how skinny and poorly I looked. I had eaten very little in the last day or so. She rushed me to the vet who gave me further injections of analgesics and rehydration. I perked up a bit but have not been able to eat or drink. SS syringed fed me tonight.
Tonight is our last night together. Being hungry and not able to swallow is no quality of life.
Tomorrow we will go to the vet together for the last time. I have hung in there until her return.
Thankyou all for being our furriends. We have enjoyed being part of the lovely, caring CB community and treasure the friends that we have made here.
It's farewell from me but SS will continue to visit you.
SS cannot bear to post my last pics but hopes you will all remember as I was.
Until we meet again........
Thankyou, Miss Ann, from Zoolatry, for the beautiful memories. You have made lovely graphics for us ever since we first joined the CB. And now, you have made my last.
Goodbye, Socks, my love. Thank you for the wonderful times we had. One day we will be together again.

RIP, sweet Finny.
The morning brought the very sad news of my sister-in-floof, Fin, crossing the Bridge.
We will miss you and think of you and our adventures fondly. Run free, Finny, until we will all meet one day. Please send purrs and comforting thoughts to her family.
