The wedding reception

After the spectacular wedding, we are ready for an equally spectacular reception.
Here we are all ready to party in a formal setting....

I am so proud of the dress that my sissy, Sassy designed for me that I have to show it off by biggifying it.....

Well, what do you think? Isn't that Sassy a kitty of many talents?
We, Opus, Roscoe, Sassy and I, also provided entertainment by performing as a string quartet for dance....

Then Karl and Ruis left for their honeymoon in an unknown destination in the starry universe....

But not before they presented me with these wonderful gifts...

I am truly overwhelmed by their kindness and thoughtfulness. In the hectic days of wedding preparation they took time to consider and prepare such apprpropriate gifts for me. Thankyou, Karl and Ruis!!!!!

I also have to thank Sassy for taking me around in the last few days when my SS was busy and including me in all the preparation as well as dressing me so beautifully for the occasion.

All photos by Karl and Ruis except where indicated. For more details and pictures, please visit Karl and Ruis's blog.

THE Wedding

Today is the big day for my good furriends Karl and Ruis. It's the wedding of weddings, to be celebrated in space abroad the starship Voyager. Go to their blog for more details!

We, the guests and the wedding party, arrived yesterday and were welcomed by Captain Janeway and her staff.

On arrival we changed into our uniforms...

....and relax in prepartion for the big day ahead. In the evening, Sassy, Opus, Roscoe and I gave a concert to entertain the staff of the starship and our furriends...

THE WEDDING........

The ceremony took place today, with Opus and Roscoe as the best cats and me as the flower kitty spreading flower petals and lizards ahead of the happy couple....

The exchange of vows was such a moving one that many of us had tears in our eyes....

The happy couple then proceeded to cut the cake...

Of course, friends and family pictures are a must. This is the wedding party in ceremonial dress..

And then all the furry guests in the wedding came together for a group photo. Don't we all look marvellous?

Karl and Ruis give us a memento for the wedding....

It's a most memorable wedding that is not likely to be forgotten. SS and I both wish Karl and Ruis all the best in their life together, to love and cherish each other forever.

*All photos except that of the concert were taken by Karl, Ruis and their family members.

Wordless Wednesday

For those who wish to know the object of my interest - it was a small birdie. Unfortunately it got away because my uncooperative SS alerted him by throwing a small nut close by.

Monday MemeDay

I am very behind in memes and tags so in an effort to get myself up to date I am doing a double whammy today.

The first is The Three Name meme which my sissy Sassy tagged me some time ago.

In case you aren’t familiar with The Naming of Cats, in the Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats, by T.S. Eliot, we all have three names! In this meme, you must link to the originator of the meme, Tara, list the following rules, and then tell us:

1. The name that the family uses daily (such as Peter, Augustus, Alonzo, or James)
2. The name that is particular and more dignified (such as Munkustrap, Quaxo, or Coricopat)
3. What you are doing when you are thinking of the name that only you know, and will never confess (when engaged in rapt contemplation), that deep and inscrutable singular name
4. Then tag three cats to give their three names.

Here it is:
1. The family calls me MoMo and SS often calls me Mini.
2. My dignified name is Minilushka Crinita, the small kitty with soft lush fur.
3. The last will never be in print. I would be sitting on top of the back garden wall scrutinizing all that is below me when I am thinking of it.

I am tagging Socks, Scylla and Charybdis for their names.

The second meme is The Seven Useful Things meme, which Colby and Cheddar tagged me last week.

1. I am a good mouser. I would hunt and bring dead mousie for SS from time to time.
2. In this age of multi-tasking, I double up as a soft toy for SS.
3. I am a lap warmer on cold days.
4. I am SS's study buddy on long cold nights when she slaves over books and articles in the little study room in the back garden.
5. I am an excellent de-stressor with my soft purrs and gentle headbutties.
6. I help SS to finish her lunch and dinner. Without me, all that meat, cheeese and milk would go to waste. Or worse, SS might feel obliged to finish them all and get fat.
7. I am a good alarm clock. I wake SS up for breakfast no later than 5.30 am, even when she doesn't need to get up e.g. weekends and holidays.

I am going to take the easy way out and tag any kitty who would like to play this game.

Visit to the Mountains

Late autumn is a good time to visit the mountains. The air is crisp and cool but not quite cold enough for snow yet. So Socks teleported over from Mississippi and we decided to spend a couple of days exploring the mountains.

The Blue Mountains are only about an hour and a half from my home. The name derives from the haze created by the oil of the native eucalyptus trees. On clear sunny days, the moutains appear dark blue. It is a national park and has been declared a heritage area.

We left home early in the morning and went bushwalking to observe the colourful flora and fauna of the area.

We also went horseriding to explore the countryside....

There are many picturesque locations....

In the evening we stayed at a cosy mountain lodge. Don't you just love our little Vespa?

After an tiring day we settled down to snooze in front of the open fire in the lodge....

Life is good!!!!!

Autumn in the garden

The days are shorter and cooler and my fur coat is growing. Here I am farewelling that last bit of autumn sun. Soon most of my garden will be in the shade, that is, assuming there is any sun at all, since it is forecasted to be a grey, wet winter.

From now on, the more likely scene would be.....

Zzzzzzzz in SS's room.

May 4 to 10, 2008 is Be Kind to Animals Week. Let's all take the time to speak out for animals, report animal abuse, donate to a local shelter and/or animal charity and be responsible pet guardians.

Hot off the press from the set of CCSI 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!

EXCITEMENT!
Emil was able to secretly shoot some exciting footage of stuff that was going on behind the scenes of CCSI 3.
SUSPENSE!
He tells us that ALL actors did nasty things they shouldn't do - only some were lucky enough to not be caught by his camera. Who were the unlucky ones that got caught?

SATISFACTION!

For a small donation Little Productions will email you the compromising and revealing pictures. These pictures will never be published! This is your ONLY chance to satisfy your curiosity!

Gretchen's Party

My SS has handed in her final chapter to her supervisor and to celebrate she agreed to let me go to Gretchen's 4th Birthday Party. I was so excited that I woke her up at 4am!!!

Gretchen has gone to a lot of trouble over this party. She has supplied the ladies with beautiful floral hats, feather masks and fans and the mancats with tophats and bow ties. Here I am all dollied up for the party, just waiting to go ....

Happy Birthday, Gretchen!!!!!

The Italian kitties, Opus and Roscoe, are with me since their mom is not back from her business trip....

There I met up with my cousin Charlotte......

My sissy Sassy......

And little Sukie from the UK....

Here are the ladies at the hat parade......

Biggify the picture to see our gorgeous hats
l. to r. Charybdis, Gretchen, Sassy, Mrs. Oz, Me, Asta (my doggie sissy), Scylla (crouching), Charlotte (at back)

We all then settled down to enjoy the yummilicious afternoon tea graciously provided by Gretchen. After that I suggested a treasure hunt in which all the young kitties enthusiastically joined. Ah, but I had ulterior motives - a quiet time with my handsome mancat Socks........

A great time was had by all.... THANKYOU, GRETCHEN!!!!!!!

A Big Happy, Happy Birthday to Jake, Gandalf and Grayson and Auntie Stinkie over at Dr Tweety and da Fab Five

Look at the beautiful cup and saucer set that I received from Gretchen as a memento of the birthday party....

Thanks +++++ Gretchen! You really are the perfect hostess!

CCSI III cast has been announced!!!!
Please head over to Sassy's to see the talented all star cast for The Missing Mummy Caper.
