Farewell to gran

It has been some time since we have posted and a lot has happened.  As some of my furriends know, my gran passed away a few weeks ago.  Before then, she had been very ill and SS and her sister had been looking after her round the clock.

Things are settling and gran's house has been sold.  SS has to move out by mid August into an apartment that she will be sharing with her sister.  I, Charlotte, will be returning home to my mom in early July, who thankfully has settled into a nice job and managed to move back into her tiny terrace house.  SS will be visiting, of course. 

We are keeping this blog open as SS is hoping to apply to the apartment's management to have a kitty.  So, watch this space!

Diva Charlotte for Boolatry

It's been some time since we last post.  A lot has been happening at our place that is keeping SS extra busy. 

First of all, Charlotte is still here. Surprise, surprise!!!  The Zoolatry girls have kindly invited Charlottte to their Boolatry event.  Diva Charlotte is never one to say no to an evening of glam.  Here she is, posing away.......

MoMo's Bridge Anniversary

It is hard to believe that MoMo has been gone for one year.  Her presence is still felt around the garden and house, especially places where she loved to curl up and purr.  At times, I would call out her name when I came home and expected her to come around the corner, emerge from under the desk or peer down from the roof.

Since you have been gone, many of your furriends have followed you to the Bridge, the most recent being the beautiful Penelope.  I hope you are all having fun at the Bridge, until one day when we will all meet again.

You used to lie in there, sunning yourself under blue skies, watching the butterflies fluttering and the birdies chirping away on the Jacaranda tree.  The Christmas cacti and poinsettia are flowering as they were when you left us this time last year.

The cold weather is descending on us and the days are distinctly shorter; the first winter snow has fallen on the mountains.  Winter are wet months for us, so whenever there is a chance for sunning my belly, I take it.

Yes, I am still here.  Looks like I am not going anywhere in a hurry.

OK, we were late but we don't let that stop us from partying.  In my case, not even the fact that I am technically an angel.

That cloud is a little soft.  Have to be careful.  Need to look after my halo as well.  I was told one halo for each angel, and no re-issue if I lose it.  Drats!

Welcome party at the Netherlands

Since I, MoMo, went to the Bridge last year we have been very quiet.  However an occasion has arisen and the gang is together again, celebrating the arrival of a new member of Ruis's family in the Netherlands.  Sergi is a 3 year-old podenco who flew in from a shelter in Spain yesterday!

It was intended to be a surprise party but the gang got on the wrong train at Amsterdam and was late.  Geez, I was only asleep for a little while on the cloud and look what happened.  The gang was probably too excited to be together again and chatted too much, getting on the wrong platform altogether.  Never mind, since we are here we may as well have a party anyway.

Hello, effurryone!  That SS has been slack and not been helping with visits and blogging.  What to do?  ::sigh::
