Ireland or Bust!

Some time ago Socks and his sisters, Scylla and Charybdis, suggested that we should all go to Dublin for St Patrick's Day. The idea caught on and a bunch of us decided to make an extended visit. Opus and Roscoe kindly invited us to stop for a picnic at Pisa by the famous Leaning Tower on our way to Ireland. The boys are shown here in their van going to the site to set up for the picnic...

When in Italy, nothing but pizzas would do for a picnic lunch...

To try and work off the calories, we all trooped up the Leaning Tower of Pisa and played Thundering Herds of Elephants, up, around and down the Tower. Scarry, I tell you!

Oh dear! I knew we shouldn't have done it. Look what happened....

We were just too much for the famed Tower. It leaned a little too much under our weight and activity. Caput! One more crime to be levied against the furries by the incompetent humans - all their fault for producing defective structures.

After this we thought we'd better clear out and take our furry butts away before angry locals start to stone us. Here we are, in our superduper flying van . Ireland or bust!!!!!

WooHooooooo! Ireland, are you ready? Here we come!!!!!!!

DUBLIN, IRELAND

On arrival we checked into the Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel, overlooking the beautiful Dublin Bay.

Here we are, taking over the hotel foyer, waiting for our room keys....

Asta and Stanley have taken a private cottage in the nearby village to have some together time.

Here we are, all settled in our rooms and looking out to admire the scenery and checking out the arriving guests.....

As you can see we have taken over the central tower and a whole floor of the hotel.

In the late afternoon, Socks and I decided to have a stroll around the surrounding countryside. Here we are, in front of a picturesque old farm house....

We returned for dinner at the PJ Restaurant at the hotel. After dinner, we sissies (Momo-kitty, Sassy, Momo-dog and Asta) went back to our luxuriously-appointed suite for a good chat.

Then, it was time to snoozzzzz, as we have another full and exciting day tomorrow.
Stay tuned.....there will be daily report for the rest of our stay in Ireland, culminating in the big Parade and Costume Ball on St Patrick's Day on March 17.

Furries taking part in thuis adventure include:
Kitties - Sassy, Karl, Emil, Mrs Oz, Ruis, Opus and Roscoe, Socks, Scylla and Charybdis
Doggies - Asta, Stanley, Momo-dog and Pinot, Charlie
Please visit them for their stories of our adventure.

(too many mistakes in our last post, will try again)

Hey, your room looks an awful lot like ours! Are we on the same floor?

That was such a fun day! Did you see the Italian news paper today? The caribineiri (Italian military police) have started a massive man hunt for the people responsible for the collapse of the tower. Thank goodness they'll never find us as we aren't people! Hehehehehhee!

Sleep tight beautiful Momo. We have a big day tomorrow!

Love,

Whew! Good thing you hightailed it out of Italy before the Caribinieri got you! And I'm so relieved that our Artsy Catsy Italian headquarters is in Rome so that Fred, Holly and Tiffany didn't have a national monument falling on their heads!

Yep, whenever there's a national incident, we know to look to the furry travelers. Guess they'll have to build a new tower that can withstand a thundering herd.

Enjoy your trip!
