Belly up

The cold weather is descending on us and the days are distinctly shorter; the first winter snow has fallen on the mountains.  Winter are wet months for us, so whenever there is a chance for sunning my belly, I take it.

Yes, I am still here.  Looks like I am not going anywhere in a hurry.

The party goes on....

OK, we were late but we don't let that stop us from partying.  In my case, not even the fact that I am technically an angel.

Ole!!!  ::clap, clap, clap.  Stomp, Stomp, Stomp.  Clap-clap::

WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

That cloud is a little soft.  Have to be careful.  Need to look after my halo as well.  I was told one halo for each angel, and no re-issue if I lose it.  Drats!

Help yourselves to the nip-infused sangria and seafood paella.  More tapas on the way.

Welcome party at the Netherlands

Since I, MoMo, went to the Bridge last year we have been very quiet.  However an occasion has arisen and the gang is together again, celebrating the arrival of a new member of Ruis's family in the Netherlands.  Sergi is a 3 year-old podenco who flew in from a shelter in Spain yesterday!

It was intended to be a surprise party but the gang got on the wrong train at Amsterdam and was late.  Geez, I was only asleep for a little while on the cloud and look what happened.  The gang was probably too excited to be together again and chatted too much, getting on the wrong platform altogether.  Never mind, since we are here we may as well have a party anyway.

Thursday in the Garden with Charlotte

We have had a rather crazy summer with record heat waves, storms and flood.  Some of our plants did not survive the heat.  So glad autumn has come and the weather has stabilized somewhat.   As you know, MoMo's Memorial Floral Fountain is an ongoing project.  This is a new native flowering plant that is flourishing ...

The colouring is a pretty lilac.  The photos don't really do justice to it.
The daisies, roses, hibiscus, jasmine and other flowers are also doing well.

I guess that's not a bad effort for a first time kitty gardener.  What do you think?
After all that, I think a nap is in order...

Thank you all for visiting!  That's me signing off, efurryone keep well until next time.

GiGi, my new cousin

Introducing GiGi, the newest member of the family.....

Gigi was surrendered/dumped at a high kill shelter on St Valentine's Day.  She was on the death row and was due to be euthanised on February 21.  My cousin and her mom called to have her put on hold and drove an hour and a half to the shelter the following day.  There were so many cuties there that they could have come home with 10 kitties.  They signed the adoption papers there and then.  Gigi was taken to the university vet clinic for checkup, immunization and spayed.

Here she is, safely ensconced in a loving home, purring a storm up whenever held and cuddling up to everyone.  How anyone can surrender such a cute, affectionate kitty to a known high kill shelter is beyond comprehension.
