Thursday in the Garden

Ever since SS has trouble with her shoulders nothing much gets done in the garden and there are weeds everywhere. Luckily, the grass still get mowed, otherwise we would be living in a jungle with all the recent rain. So, if you direct your gaze away from the flower beds the garden still looks reasonable, with the hibiscus and other native flowers blooming, alongside some of the colourful border plants that SS had put in earlier.....

Sniff, sniff - the newly cut lawn smells nice.

These just appeared this summer. We don't know the name.

These were given to us earlier as small cuttings by our very kind neighbour and they have turned out to be very pretty border plants.

Please purr for my SS's shoulders to get better soonest, otherwise she is not going to get a job! This situation may well impact negatively on the frequency of me getting ham and treats although there are still a couple of months of cat food stored in the garage.

We just heard that our good furriend Annie is in hospital. She hasn't been well lately. Please purr for her and her very worried mom.

We hope SS shoulder is soon better. Your garden looks lovely. Are the border plants in the last photo Coleus? We were wondering what the plants in front of them are. They have the same sort of leaves as our Christmas cactus.

Isn't the smell of fresh grass lovely? I like to sit at the window and sniff on mowing day.

We will purr hard for your mom. We believe that purrs are best applied directly, but if all the CB purrs, then the extra vibrations will provide healing powers to SS so she will get better.

Seeing your garden in summer while ours is a winter mess makes us happy kitties!

We are sending healing purrs for SS's shoulder. (sigh) She is awful young to be having shoulder trouble. Just wait till she gets ancient like our Mommy anytime she does any work she complains the next day with something or other hurting. And she actually thought she broke her finger typing the other day, we have since decided it was arthritis in a finger she broke playing volleyball in 7th grade. Anyway your garden looks very nice. The pink things look kinda like bleeding heart, but not exactly. And we are almost sure the border plants are Coleus. Ours had little spiky purple flowers eventually before Mommy let them get deaded.

Purrs for Annie too.

Thanks fur the nice tour but it is missing a furry special Siberian ingredient: SNOW!

It looks like 'coleus' to us as well - when The DN had some IN the house, she'd put it outside in the nice weather - let's just say the bunnies LOVED their new salad!

Paws khrossed for SS and her shoulder!

Purrs to your SS! Speedy recovery!

Your garden is beautiful! It is so nice to see color! All we have is white - everything is covered in snow.

Mom says those lovely plants with the colorful leaves are called coleus.
