A Fairy Tale

My NOMSS friend Charlie sent me the following story:

Once upon a time a girl was visited by her fairy godfather (that one's a long story, but suffice it to say he was indeed a fairy) and he said he was there to grant her most ardent desire.

The girl said, "I want to be a CAT!"

And the girl lived happily ever after and slept as long as she liked wherever she liked, drank whole bowls of milk, always had clean fur and servants/slaves to do her bidding and blogging, never had to hunt unless she wanted to, did whatever she wanted, never went hungry, got fat but didn't care, had many lovers, didn't worry about money, and had all the sardines and salmon to herself. She went out, never did anything she did not feel like doing, even when told, had very high self esteem, never cried or yelled, and felt and looked fabulous all the time.

Getting what you want out of life has everything to do with being a cat!
Can you see me there?

That is a brilliant story. I think that little girl was very smart.

Oh a tiny little storm blew through here briefly a couple of hours ago. It just made it hotter.

That pic was a hard one. It had to be taken apart several times, the layers wouldn't come out correctly - and there are an awful lot of them. And it was a combination of two kits.

Some are easier than others. We are trying to learn all we can before school goes back to teach it.

Are you still stuck inside? Just as well cats sleep for so long. Here, we go back to bed at 7am and wake up again after 4pm. But only if they are home then.

OK, in juxtaposition to that, we just did a blue one for Tigger's (saved on draft for now, called Que Sera Sera) that took 20 minutes from woe to go. From thought to publication on the Digital Scrapbook Place site.

Starving, waiting for the youngest to get back with the pizza and brownies! Woo hoo! Par-tay!

Oh, was just trying to learn, then throwing out - a layout. Oh duh - just not bright enough!

Then to make myself feel better, did one on Venice I just love to post on Kaleidscope.

No, no pizza eating kitties here. The One Who Came Before, beautiful Persia, yes, she came RUNNING when the pizza take away arrived at the house. Crust, pepperoni, bits of cheese - and then I would find a discarded olive later on, in my bed.

Oh listen, people behind are home from being away - HUGE big black Rex woofie is saying hello. He says hello is I stir my tea with all my windows shut at 6 in the morning. :)

Cripes! S'cold here!

Where are my gloves and scarf?

Is that an icicle hanging off Trixie's nose? Shut those windows! Turn off that fan!

That was a wonderful fairy tale! Maybe that's why Mommy always says she'd love to be a kitty?

We house kitties sure have it better than many, many humans!

We loved your fairy tale! I would never want to be a human - they rush around all the time and hardly ever nap and that's no way to live.

Ahhh - so true! My staff says they want to be coming back as cats. Preferably their own cats - must have to do something with their notion that they think they are the most fabulous personal.... whatever.
You look so cute in that cheerleader outfit Momo! We will come by this weekend. And those glasses are very becoming too!

Doesn't Dr Tweety look cuddley?

Have been playing with a new layout called Pink Cashews that I bought this morning. Doing a Burano and a Torcello Cat series of pics. Will go post them on Kaleidscope.

It's just warmed up here, at least it was easy to sleep last night.
