Cat in the Manger

Now that spring and the warmer weather have arrived, we are having more birdie visitors to our yard. SS sometimes put out food for them. Although I don't eat the grains, I guard them so that no birdies would dare to approach them without inciting my wrath.

My SS says that I am not a very nice kitty. Wouldn't you have done the same?

Of course we would. We wouldn't eat the grains either, but we would try to eat the birdies!

Momo. We just came over from Asta's blog where we saw on her sidebar that you are under the weather. Sometimes we don't pay attention to the sidebars the way we should ... and maybe (hopefully) that is history. Yes? No? Are you better? Are you getting better? We hope so.

What we DO know is that you look like a very special kitty whose family and friends care about very very much.

Thinking of you, guarding that feeding station,

We have a special word for the birdie food that mom and dad put out. "bait"

I like to watch from the window but Jonesie and Ginger and Cecilia get in trouble if they try to eat the birdies that are eating the food meant for them.

I think I'd have chased that bird. After all if it's close, it's fair game right?

MoMo! We are soooo glad you came to visit. We've got a lot in common, you know? For one: our taste in music. For two? Well. We think we're related! If we are Bruvver and Sissie to Asta, doesn't that make you our relative, too?

We're sad to hear about your health, but we are glad that we know a bit more so we can send very specific comforting and soothing thoughts and best wishes to you. And we will. From now on.

Love

No tweet is going to mess with you MoMo!

Hehehe! What a way to communicate. Purrs and barks back and forth.

When you have a chance, go back in our bloggie and read about Kizzy. It's three or four posts back. We think you'll like it.

We think we would watch the birdies eat the grains then pounce on them (the birdies, not the grains!)!!!

You know, we get comments too about the way we like to sit and look at the birdies when Mum throws crumbs out for them. And that's without even touching any one. Sheesh! We're on your side, and if you need a character witness, just let us know,

That made us laugh. Do the birds ever get brave?

Um mm No, but that may be because the birdies at our house have so many places to eat we would be exhausted trying to guard them all. ~S,S,C & F

Yep, I think the grains are safe!

Just send birdies!

We are back - we are just very slow. The older we get, the more we are affected by jet lag and by not wanting to reassimilate back into everyday life. "sigh"

Just think of it as bait for the live fev-vers!

Guarding the grains. You are a very dedicated kitty. Are you on the payroll or is this a volunteer job?

How are you feeling, Momo?

We don't see you doing anything mean, Momo. Honestly.

WE don't go outside, so I am not sure that we would not do the same. Does that mean we are mean kitties too? hee hee
