I just can't resist posting this - an owl my age and we have the same name!!!!! Mirror, mirror on wall, who is the better looking of all. Well I guess since there are only two of us the choice is pretty limited. I think we're both cute.

I have never seen an owl, but I do a fair amount of avian-watching. There are noisy Kookaburras, who can be pretty annoying to a napping dog, as well as those black and white Magpies and big White cockatoos. They squawk really loud like they want to play, but I have too much self-preservation instinct to get too near to them; they are almost as big as I am, and they've dropped pecked-off tree twigs on me in my favourite spot in the lawn. But there are my friends, the Lorikeets. They are harmless to a dog, and can be quite entertaining, too.
