Thursday gardening

It's been raining, which is good for the garden but not so good for me as I don't like getting my coat and paws wet.

Remember the big pot plant with the red flowers that I showed last week, here it is again behind me to my left....

Well, look at the flowers in full bloom...

Isn't that something! We are pretty sure it belongs to the Protea family.

Here is our evergreen corner. It's my corner, since it is right by the foot of the garden lounge where I like to rest and snooze during the day, especially when it's wet.

This last picture is for those who like to hunt in the garden....

Baby LIZARDS!!!!! Aren't they cute though? There have been quite a few in my garden lately, living mainly in or around the basin. They are safer there as they would be out of my sight. SS just has to be careful not to flush them down the drain when she turns the tap on.

That is a beautiful garden you have to hang out in! And those are cute baby lizards - we don't really hunt much so we just think they are cute!

That flower is beautiful, and the lizards look tasty.
It stopped raining today at last and then snowed instead. It didn't stick, but there was 6 inches about 15 miles from us.

What a lovely garden you have. It is too bad that plants and cats don't always like the same weather!

The red flowers are so pretty. We had Mommy plant some larkspurs, buttercups, phlox and 2 other flowers we don't know the name of in a container and put it on Charybdis' grave today. We thinks she would have liked them they look real pretty together yellow, blue & pink. ~AFSS

That red flower is absolutely gorgeous! I don't think we could grow that here.

Thank you so much for the nice birthday card. I just love it! I'm so happy to have such a wonderful friend!

Your flowers are beautiful. They do look like proteas (that is, the ones on the South African cricket logo, we're not gardeners:P).
